We have two outer planet stations this week and with that the energy might seem s more oppressive than uplifting, but fear not, there is also relief. If Saturn or Pluto are aspecting points in your natal chart you will be feeling this energy even more strongly. Good news is we also have some supporting aspects to help us deal with the pressure!
Monday April 16th ~ What’s going on today: Moon enters Taurus at 2:51 AM MDT The moon is well placed in Taurus and lends us some earthy, grounding energy. Get outside and enjoy nature if possible. Tuesday April 17th ~ What’s going on today: Moon in Taurus void-of-course at 4:05 PM MDT Venus opposite Jupiter Venus trine Pluto Saturn Station Retrograde What it means: Venus opposite Jupiter and trine Pluto are about wealth. Do we feel wealthy in terms of our relationships, investments and our lives in general? I am speaking of more than financial wealth. If there is a disconnect between our reality and our expectations we may see the problems in these areas more strongly today. Best advice is to do what is needed to bridge the gap and bring your reality in line with the life you envision. One of the nice things about this aspect is that is resonates the Jupiter-Pluto sextile from last week and we can use that sense of optimism and faith to make any needed changes in our lives. Saturn station really means that the pressure is on. The weight of the world may be on your shoulders. You may feel like it is heavier than you can bear. But fear not, when Saturn stations retrograde what really happens is that we are given the opportunity to figure out the best way to handle our issues over the course of the next few months. Pay attention to the biggest areas of concern in your life right now because those themes will continue and will need attention. If you are feeling a bit depressed or down with this energy remember that Saturn loves solitude and so you might want to take some time alone in order to meditate or just think through the things that are going on in your life right now. Questions to ask yourself: Are your investments of time, money and friendship paying off? Is there a way you could invest more wisely, in terms of people, projects, work and financials? Where are you feeling the biggest block or obstacle in your life right now? Are you doing anything about it? What plan can you create to tackle these issues over the next several months? Wednesday April 18th ~ What’s going on today: Moon enters Gemini at 6:02 AM MDT Sun conjunct Uranus Chiron enters Aries What it means: When the sun conjoins Uranus it’s like a permission slip to be you and to be weird. Not that Uranus needs a permission slip to do anything! The rebel meets the present moment. Depending on how true you are to yourself this aspect can be fun and joyous as you express yourself authentically or it can be uncomfortable if you aren’t truly clear on or happy with the person you are or the life you are living. Break the mold and let yourself be unique! Chiron enters Aries and it’s a new start. It takes Chiron 50 years to go around the zodiac and now he is back at the beginning and we are going to feel a shift. Our connection to God and the Universe has ideally been healed while Chiron traveled through Pisces. Now that Chiron is in Aries our sense of adventure, our ability to take risks, and most of all our self-reliance is going to be tested over the next many years. If you feel like you are challenged in these areas then expect these issues to come up in order for you to address and heal them. Questions to ask yourself: How are you expressing your amazing uniqueness? What can you do to be more fully in the present moment? Are you self-reliant? Are you able to take risks? How can you promote a sense of adventure within yourself? Thursday April 19th ~ What’s going on today: Moon in Gemini Sun enters Taurus What it means: When the sun enters Taurus spring should be firmly rooted. Depending on where you live that may or may not be true, I just saw my first spring flowers (crocus) here yesterday and we had snow as recently as last week but it is staying lighter later in the evenings and the temperatures are slowly getting warmer. Taurus is a fixed earth sign and that means it’s great for connecting with nature, getting into your garden, or doing practical things that make living simpler and more comfortable (like spring cleaning). Use the sun’s transit through Taurus as a time to simplify and reconnect. Questions to ask yourself: How am I connected to the earth and nature? What can I do to simplify my life in order to emphasize quality over quantity? Friday April 20th ~ What’s going on today: Moon in Gemini void-of-course at 6:05 AM MDT Moon enters Cancer at 8:25 AM MDT The moon in Cancer is a great time to do an intuition check. Tune into your inner wisdom and pay attention to what’s going on under the surface. Practice deep breathing or even something like water gazing to really tune into your natural intuitive capabilities. Saturday April 21st ~ What’s going on today: Moon in Cancer Another day with the moon in Cancer and it’s a great time to spend time with family and close friends. Cancer moon loves to take care of loved ones so a nice home cooked meal or a family barbecue or just simply time spent together is wonderful today. Sunday April 22nd ~ What’s going on today: Moon in Cancer void-of-course at 8:58 AM MDT Moon enters Leo at 11:09 AM MDT Pluto Station Retrograde What it means: The Pluto station is similar to the Saturn station we have been talking about recently. These outer planets are retrograde for months and months at a time and so we might not notice their retrograde motion as usually but when they station they sure pack a punch! With Pluto stationing in the sign of Capricorn we want to look at what we have built in our lives and make sure the foundations are secure. We felt the global foundations of our economic platform crumble when Pluto entered Capricorn in 2008 and with the Pluto station expect similar themes to emerge both on a personal level and on a larger global scale. Whatever isn’t working gets exposed. Questions to ask yourself: Is your foundation secure? How can you strengthen your position? How can you rebuild to resolve any cracks that have developed in the foundation? While there is still plenty of intensity this week we are blessed to have some mitigating aspects that help to stabilize us. Having practices to help regain a sense of center and grounding is important when we are dealing with uncertain times. What are some of the practices you use to deal with things when the pressure bears down? Photo by Ramin Khatibi on Unsplash
