Your First Tarot Deck Including How to Cleanse Your Tarot CardsIf you want to see my latest video here it is! This collaboration is brought to you by Stars And Riches, made up of myself, Nikki Rich, and Starlene Breiter. Let us know what you think of our video! The New Moon in Taurus occurs on May 4th at 15 degrees (rounding up). Taurus is an earth sign known for its determination and stubbornness, among other things. With this new moon we have the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment and to stand steadfast with our goals, even having suffered some recent setbacks, and we probably have suffered recently.
Let me step back from the new moon for a moment and discuss the planetary backdrop for a moment. About two weeks ago Pluto went retrograde at 24 Capricorn, then this past Monday Saturn went retrograde at 21 Capricorn, with the South Node betwixt and between causing all sorts of frustration, depression, and downright apathy lately. We have felt defeated, somehow, somewhere in our lives. We may have felt it’s useless or pointless to keep fighting. We have been in the darkness before the dawn and it’s been really, really dark. But dawn comes and this time it’s in the form of this lovely new moon in Taurus. There are some strong vibrational patterns being activated by this new moon and they come down to two basic themes. First is that we can Create a Life and an Environment that is Ideal for us if we Focus our Thoughts and Daily Actions towards Manifesting this Reality. We can and we will, if we so choose. Second is that we can make a commitment to ourselves with Big Love that we are Worth It and that We Deserve both Harmony and Stability, Optimism and Pride. There is a Spiritual Undertone to all of this saying that hey, if we turn it over to the Angels that they have our backs. But if we ignore or bypass the spiritual support that is our Divine Right we are missing an Opportunity for Greater Connection in the Moment and for Growth in the Future. These patterns might sound a little woo woo but let me tell you what’s really go on here. If we take the time every day (sun) to invest in feeling safe and comfortable (moon) and to make this a practice and pattern that we do daily then there is nothing that can stop us (Taurus). What habit or pattern can you imagine for yourself that would really up the quality of your personal life? It doesn’t have to be elaborate. What it really needs is to be practical and doable on a day to day basis. For myself I have decided what this is going to look like in my own life. Each night after my kiddo goes to bed I often watch tv for an hour while my husband goes and works out. I figure it’s time for me to relax and I can unwind that way. But allergy season here in Dallas has been hard for me to adjust to and I have felt more stress in my body lately than usual and so I have a simple idea to take care of both of these issues at once. So as the new moon in Taurus begins I personally begin a new regimen of an evening shower to wash the allergens of the day off of me while de-stressing and taking some time for some much needed pampering that I admit I often neglect doing. How much healthier is it for me to allow myself an hour of spa time instead of an hour of tv? Do you agree that such a simple change in behavior can bring about a lasting improvement of how I feel each day? Added bonus it should help me sleep better as it sets up a lovely evening ritual of unwinding by honoring my own physical body and it’s needs. Enough about me and I think you get one example at least on how to implement this vibrational energy patterns into your own life. The Sabian Symbol for the degree of the new moon is this: “Head covered with a rakish silk hat, muffled against the cold, a man braved a storm.” What better symbol for our current climate? We are all living in our own personal and collective storm. And we must bravely persist. I have seen some other astrologers jokingly remark that we should hunker down and take shelter with Saturn weighing down on us so much. I get the joke and I agree that you can do that for a brief moment, if it helps get you back up and on your way so that you can reach your destination. Don’t stop. Keep going. Brace against the metaphorical winds and onward we go. If we persist we will succeed. That sentiment is more Saturnian than anything. And by the grace of this new moon we get the cosmic support to keep going, keep striving, to not give up and see that we can in fact continue on with Taurean determination despite any and all obstacles that may or may not appear in our path. So as you can see things haven’t been easy but there is a way through. There is relief in the form of practical reinforcements by our own stubbornness to let go of the goal as well as the fact that to be honest we have no choice but to continue. If we stop here the story ends. But it isn’t over. We embrace strength and we move forward, steadily, toward our goal. Photo by Studio Dekorasyon on Unsplash Our latest episode is up!
