The Week in Preview For Monday, December 19 to Sunday, December 25 By Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ Going into Christmas week we have a lot lot lot going on! And not just because of all the holidays happenings! There are a lot changes this week so expect it to feel like a whirlwind … perhaps a slow motion whirlwind with Mercury going retrograde so hang onto your hats! Monday is a big day with two big occurrences. First Mars enters Pisces, causes a change in the way we express out energy. With Mars in Aquarius we have been expressing our energy mentally, through ideas. With Mars entering Pisces we become much more emotive. How can you express emotions through action? That is the question Mars in Pisces tries to answer. The second event on Monday is Mercury station retrograde which lasts through January 8. I know people like to complain about Mercury retrograde but the timing here, in my opinion, could not be better. Ultimately Mercury retrograde is all about going back and making things right that we either missed or got wrong before. To have this energy effective going into the new year is a blessing as it will really help us take stock and prepare to start fresh. Another thing I like about Mercury retrograde is that it often brings us in contact with old friends and family which we have not seen in a while, and what better time of year to do that than now? One thing that Mercury retrograde is ideal for is rest and recuperation and over the holidays we seem to have more time for that than at other times of the year. While it is true there may be some gifts to exchange and travel glitches, if you are patient those things will sort themselves out in time. On Wednesday we have the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year here in the northern hemisphere. At this time the sun enters Capricorn and we have an energy shift with that as well. Sagittarius is more philosophical, something of a dreamer, whereas Capricorn is a builder, someone who takes realistic action toward a goal. So those ideas and dreams you have had for the past month, now is the time to plan how to implement them. Capricorn loves to plan is happy with an achievable goal, even if it may take a lot of effort. We are still building to the Jupiter-Uranus opposition I mentioned last week. Surprise, fun and miracles on the positive side. Rebellion and upheaval on the opposite side. Adding something unusual into your celebrations this year will help utilize this energy in a positive manner. For example go roller skating or have a snowball fight! We have some amazing aspects happening on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, more information on those coming up in the daily forecasts! Honoring the solstice and all of the holidays, Namaste, Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/

Daily Report ~ Sunday, December 18, 2016 By Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ It is a pretty quiet day today but consider it the calm before the storm as there are a lot of shifts in the coming week and stronger aspects patterns building. Mercury turns retrograde tomorrow and we should already feel like things are slowing down, just as one example of what is coming up. The moon and sun make a trine which peaks at 7:27 AM. The waning trine is a part of the monthly lunar cycle and here we have the moon growing smaller after the full moon earlier this week. This aspect is generally harmonious although it is not strong. The moon opposes Mars at 11:55 AM and this is usually an energetic aspect. The advice for this aspect is to take action, and if you feel blocked and cannot take direct action then to channel your frustration into a constructive task that either needs to be done or put the energy into something physical like a good workout. After the above aspect perfects the moon in void-of-course for a short time, less than an hour. This means it is not a particularly good time to start new projects. If you must do something it is better to complete routine tasks and finish up things that were started previously. Resting is also a good thing to do under a void-of-course moon. At 12:52 PM the moon enters Virgo. Virgo is a great sign, with the ultimate desire of making the world a better, more perfect place. And there are a million little things in life that can be improved and which Virgo likes to work on to make more efficient and more sensible. Perfection of course is always a goal, one you can never truly reach, but the striving is what makes Virgo tick. Use this moon sign to take a look at your own surroundings and see if there are small changes you can make to your environment and to your routine that will aid you in “perfecting” your own life. All times are US Eastern Time Zone. Affirmation of the Day: I love getting better. (Everyday in every way.) Crystal of the Day: Malachite as it both promotes success and serves as a protection stone. Essential Oil of the Day: Lemon for it's cleansing properties … as you may know Virgo moon loves to clean! And lemon also helps purify our environment and release and negativity. Namaste, Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ Daily Report ~ Saturday, December 17, 2016 By Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ It's a day full of lunar aspects. There are short-lived and have more to do with passing moods than anything else, and today they are quite harmonious! The moon opposes Venus at 3:23 AM which is a reminder of the other people on our lives. Moon and Venus are about emotions and relationships and here we feel the need to create a balance in this are of our lives. Since these are both feminine planets it often highlights our relationships with women. The moon next makes a nice sextile to Jupiter at 5:51 PM. This is an uplifting aspect as Jupiter is the planet of optimism so we do get a boost in our mood. This is also a nice energy under which to socialize as we tend to feel generous with the moon and Jupiter in alignment. At 6:24 PM the moon and Saturn make a trine, allowing for the stabilization of our moods. This is a healthy foundation, it is emotional security. Sometimes it can show us as the need for self-reliance and this in turn makes us stronger and more capable of dealing with the curve balls life seems to throw at us. At 7:57 PM we have the moon making a trine to Uranus which is an invitation to have a good time! Uranus has a youthful, spontaneous energy that likes to shake things up and loves to laugh so take advantage of this energy! All times are US Eastern Time Zone. Affirmation of the Day: All my relationships are harmonious. Crystal of the Day: Moonstone for it's ability to enhance intuition. Essential Oil of the Day: Frankincense to bring a spiritual awareness to the day. Namaste, Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ Daily Report ~ Friday, December 16, 2016
By Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ The moon enters Leo at 8:15 Am with a triumphant roar! Leo is a showman. They like to make a dramatic entrance. They don't mind being late because they like people to notice them but they hate it when other people are late for their events. As a positive thing Leo loves to feel connected to others in a way that makes them feel appreciated. One of the great thing about Leo moons and all moons in fire signs is there is an inherent warmth that people respond to … like I can really tell that there is heartfelt sincerity here. So use today to warm up to someone you care about and who knows, maybe some of that warmth will rub back off onto you, too! There are no exact aspects today which is quite rare. Enjoy the free day! All times are US Eastern Time Zone. Affirmation of the Day: I bring warmth to all my relationships. Crystal of the Day: Fire agate for strength and protection, as well as for cultivating the internal fire. Essential Oil of the Day: Sweet orange for it's optimistic and cheerful vibe. Namaste, Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ Daily Report ~ Thursday, December 15, 2016 By Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ There is not a lot of excitement this week … the energy is building toward next week but we have another day of purely lunar aspects in store. These aspects are short term with no lasting effect. The moon rules our moods and so these aspects reflect our moods, or perhaps our moods reflect these aspects. The moon opposes Mercury at 5:25 AM, giving us a push-pull relationship between our heart and our mind. Mercury represents our thoughts and the moon represents our feels and when they are opposed we have a hard time getting into a place of agreement with ourselves. When our head and heart disagree the best thing to do is to honor the differences and be patient as these feelings of inner conflict will pass. At 9:38 AM the moon opposes Pluto, bringing us into a confrontation with darkness. This can be in the form of negativity, death, letting go, the refusal to forgive, the internal Jungian shadow … there are a lot of ways that darkness can manifest. Remember that without darkness there can be no light and use this moment to shine. There is a square from the moon to Jupiter at 2:08 PM. I like to call Moon-Jupiter aspects the opportunity to indulge and go overboard. This can be too much food or drink or it can be in the form of an emotional outburst. Jupiter does represent generosity and optimism so you can work on going overboard with your personal generosity (emotional or otherwise) or overboard with how much optimism you can embrace. The final aspect today is a square from the moon to Uranus which peaks at 4:37 PM. Feeling unsettled? Turn on some music and move to the beat! If you can't get up and dance then at least shake things up a bit in your routine this afternoon. Uranus loves spontaneity! After the above aspect perfects the moon in void-of-course until tomorrow morning. This means it is not a particularly good time to start new projects. If you must do something it is better to complete routine tasks and finish up things that were started previously. Resting is also a good thing to do under a void-of-course moon. All times are US Eastern Time Zone. Affirmation of the Day: I go overboard with joy! Crystal of the Day: Citrine as it is a success stone which aids in drawing financial well-being into your life. Essential Oil of the Day: Geranium for comfort and solace. Namaste, Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ Daily Report ~ Wednesday, December 14, 2016 By Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ It's a relatively quiet day in the stars. Again we have only lunar aspects today but without the excitement of yesterday's full moon. At 12:57 AM the moon makes a trine to Mars. Moon-Mars is usually a very active combination, sometimes it involves domestic duties like cooking or cleaning, as the moon rules all things domestic. Other times is involves activity that can help raise our mood: think the endorphins that give us a boost after exercising. Usually there is some level of activity because Mars loves to do! It almost doesn't matter what, as long as Mars is doing something! And in this aspect action makes us feel better. After the above aspect perfects the moon in void-of-course for several hours. This means it is not a particularly good time to start new projects. If you must do something it is better to complete routine tasks and finish up things that were started previously. Resting is also a good thing to do under a void-of-course moon. At 7:09 AM the moon enters Cancer which is the home sign of the moon. The moon in Cancer loves being home. Cancer is notorious as being a homebody but isn't that a good thing? If your nesting tendencies come out during the Cancer moon make the most of them by doing things to enhance your home life, whether this is through the quality of your environment, your nourishment, or your relationships. The moon makes a sweet trine to Neptune at 10:17 PM bringing out our dreamy side. Moon-Neptune is also somewhat fantastical so it is a good time to work with faeries or other-worldly creatures, if that is something you like to do. I like this aspect for meditation as well but you might just drift off … which isn't a bad thing! All times are US Eastern Time Zone. Affirmation of the Day: I have the perfect living space. Crystal of the Day: Rose quartz to aid in opening up the heart and in practicing forgiveness to both ourselves and to others. Essential Oil of the Day: Eucalyptus as it provides a sheltering energy that resonates with the moon in Cancer. Namaste, Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ Daily Report ~ Tuesday, December 13, 2016 By Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ We have only lunar aspects today, that is aspects involving the moon, lovely lady Luna. Lunar aspects are usually quite minor but there are exceptions such as when the moon is setting off a larger aspect pattern or, as is happening today we have a new or full moon. First we have the moon in Gemini making a trine to Jupiter in Libra at 1:24 PM. This is a feel good aspect so take advantage of it! By feel good I mean that the moon represents our moods and Jupiter is the bringer of joy and optimism so we get a boost. A good way to use this energy is to take a look at the big picture and see if you can make any adjustments to your long term planning. Moon in Gemini can break things into smaller steps while Jupiter in Libra helps to see the big picture. The moon opposes Saturn at 2:04 PM which is often seen as an obstacle to be overcome. We can feel frustrated under this influence but remember that the moon moves quickly and so this too shall pass rather quickly! The moon makes a sextile to Uranus at 4:18 PM which helps to snap us out of any residual lag we may feel. Uranus carries a beat and when you think of rhythm you think of moving and shaking things up! Music also helps to lift our spirits if we are feeling down. The full Moon at 7:05 PM falls at 22-23 degrees of Gemini. Full moons are “peak” experiences and this one is no different. We often feel more “alive” and more “stimulate” under a full moon. This full moon in Gemini also reminds me of a party. There should be a lot of conversation and a lot of variety! The Sabian Symbol for this Full Moon is “Three Fledglings in a Nest High in a Tree”, invoking the concepts of beginner's mind and of trust. Fledglings are by nature young, inexperienced beginners. They are still in the nest and they must learn how to fly. Learning to fly takes trust. Maybe this comes naturally to birds but to us humans trust seems to be something we can always work on improving! With this full moon you can ask yourself some questions. What are you learning right now? Where are you being asked to trust? By looking at your individual chart we can gain even greater insight on what areas of your life are being activated by this full moon so if you would like to find out more contact me to schedule a reading! All times are US Eastern Time Zone. Affirmation of the Day: It is easy to trust. Crystal of the Day: Aquamarine for it's ability to link the heart chakra with the throat chakra. This aids in communicating with your guides from a place of love. Essential Oil of the Day: Peppermint is a great oil to facilitate a sense of vibrancy. Celebrate the full moon with mindfulness! Namaste, Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ The Week in Preview For Monday, December 12 to Sunday, December 18 By Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ We are thankfully past the sun-Saturn conjunction of last week. Whew! What a relief. And while there are other things going on at least, for a time, the pressure is off! The big news is the building opposition between Jupiter and Uranus. This is in orb all week long and doesn't even perfect until Christmas Eve but we are already under it's influence. There is a combination of unpredictability and rebellion under this influence, but also a feeling of Surprise! Maybe it isn't the season for surprise parties but it is the season for holiday parties and they should be very fun this year! I will say though, in warning, if you want to keep your job be careful this year at the company party as it will be very easy to get carried away and do something you may regret! Keep it fun! There is also something incredibly lucky about this combination so maybe there will really be a Christmas Miracle in your life this year! Or a Solstice Miracle! Or a Hanukkah Miracle! It is the season of miracles and these planets are complying with that energy this year! Enjoy! And believe. Believe in miracles. The full Moon on Tuesday, December 13 falls at 22-23 degrees of Gemini. Full moon in Gemini also reminds me of a party. The other thing occurring is Mercury preparing to go retrograde next week on Monday, December 19, but many of us may notice some things already seeming to slow down. All week long Mercury applies to Pluto, lord of the underworld, until at the last minute he reverses course and stations retrograde. He does not reach Pluto, that will happen after his retrograde cycle is complete. This reminds me that Mercury, known as Hermes in mythology, was responsible for carrying the souls of the dead to Hades (Pluto). With this retrograde cycle, with mercury approaching Pluto and then reversing course the last moment, it seems to me that we may be considering letting something go, releasing it as no longer serving us, and then have second thoughts and try to resurrect the thing that is most likely already lost. This can be a relationship, a job, a belief, almost anything. Since Mercury is capable of crossing the boundaries between life and death he is also considered to be a bearer of secret knowledge. During this cycle pay close attention to the insights and realizations you gain as they will be rooted in esoteric knowledge. An exploration of Hermes, Hermes Trismegistus and the traditions surrounding Mercury are all valuable during and surrounding a Mercury retrograde period, if you are so inclined. Affirmation: I believe in miracles. Crystal: Blue Lace Agate which aids in our communication with the angels and our spirit guides so that we may allow and embrace miracles in our own lives. Essential Oil: Cinnamon which encourages benevolence in ourselves and from others, cultivating a “pay it forward” attitude. Mindfulness is key! Namaste, Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ Daily Report ~ Monday, December 12, 2016 By Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ We begin the day with an early morning trine from the sun to Uranus at 1:56 AM. If you remember your dreams in the morning they may be revealing. Uranus is a planet that encourages “channeling” from higher realms, whether that is god, the angels, your spirit guides, animal guides or your ancestors. With the sun meeting Uranus some of this higher wisdom is revealed, often in a flask of insight. Pay attention to those flashes today! The other thing this aspect does is energize us. We may have a hard time sitting still if we are stuck in a class or a meeting! Get up and move around! The moon enters Gemini at 7:41 AM in preparation of the full moon tomorrow. Moon in Gemini is from a positive perspective curious, communicative, and open minded. From a negative viewpoint sometimes Gemini can be flighty, detached, or have a hard time sticking to things. Keeping a variety of activities during the Gemini moon is a good plan as Gemini gets bored easily so it may not be the best time to start a 12 hour project! It is a good time to go on a short adventure or to explore some ideas you have been curious about lately. The moon makes a sweet trine to Venus at 5:22 PM bringing in a feeling of social comfort. We like to be around people we care about under this influence, friends or family or even people with shared visions or beliefs. The moon makes a square to Neptune at 10:31 PM which is often an indication we are being unrealistic about something. Are you fooling yourself? If so then this is a wake up call. I like using Neptune aspects for meditation and working with a variety of crystals would be a great way to meditate under that Gemini moon. All times are US Eastern Time Zone. Affirmation of the Day: I embrace the new. Crystal of the Day: Amethyst for it's connection to the spiritual planes. Essential Oil of the Day: Clary Sage as it grounds us while also uplifting our spirit. Keep on with that mindfulness practice! Namaste, Nikki Rich PAC http://www.nikkirichastrology.com/ |
