Astrology for December 11, 2015 - New Moon in Sagittarius

The moon is active this morning first making a trine to Uranus at 1:01 AM ET. This enhances the Mars Uranus opposition from yesterday. This can mean some little or even big surprise is on its way to you. This is a nice energy and can be highly inspirational for letting your emotions out, so have fun and if you didn't get some sort of surprise. Then maybe you should have some fun surprising someone else!

Next Venus makes a harmonious trine to Neptune at 1:13AM ET. This energy is a great one for daydreaming or spending time with your sweetie. It is a sweet energy for the morning that will last throughout the day.

The moon then comes to a sextile to Mars at 1:14 AM ET. This aspect can help make the morning productive, whether you have work to do or a workout. Get something done, if you can!

The next aspect is when the moon and sun conjunct in the sky, thus creating a new moon. The energy of the new moon in Sagittarius has us thinking about our higher consciousness and learning. Sagittarius moon is fun, jovial and wants some adventure in life. This would be an excellent day for you to do a little new moon ritual with yourself where you sort out those Sagittarius things you want to incorporate into your life over the next 6 months. How about beginning a “bucket list” of things to do before the next year? How about deciding to pick a subject of higher learning and focusing yourself on that? Those are both Sagittarius things. What Sagittarius wants is you to think outside of the box – then take some action on that, don't just think about it!

The final aspect for today is when the moon makes a square to Jupiter at 11:06 AM EDT. This aspect can have us feeling a little overly inflated with our emotions and feelings. Try to keep them in check and not go overboard with anything that pops up. Just keep the balance under this transit!

The moon then moves into another long void-of-course phase right after that last aspect at 11:06 AM EDT and stays there until tomorrow morning at 1:46 AM EDT. Fortunately the moon has what we call “Face” in Sagittarius, therefore the void moon in Sagittarius is not quite as challenging as when it is in some other signs. You might take some time to do things for yourself and contemplate the bigger things in the universe. 

A great stone to work with today is rhodochrosite which will help you with the Venus Saturn sextile in the morning and help you navigate through bringing your heart into the structure you are creating for yourself.

An essential oil I would recommend to use today is German chamomile which is known for it's calming effects.
