There is a lot of energy shifting today from an astrological perspective so hang on, kids! It's going to be a big day!

We begin the day with the moon void-of-course in Virgo where she wanders for much of the day. The void-of-course moon is not a good time to begin new things. In fact, it is best used for clearing up old things and completing old tasks. Can you say laundry day? 

The big aspect today is a square from Mercury to Jupiter which peaks at 7:53 AM EST but is strong enough that we should feel this energy all day. Mercury and Jupiter are opposites. Mercury is fine details and Jupiter is big picture. Mercury is traveling around the neighborhood and Jupiter is long distance travel. Mercury is day-to-day stuff and Jupiter is the stuff of dreams. When these two planets square each other we feel the pull between the details and the dream, which sometimes, somehow, see to clash with each other. Since Mercury is in Sagittarius and Jupiter is in Virgo these two planets are in what is called “mutual reception”. This is actually auspicious and helps this square seem more harmonious than squares sometimes are. Mercury is talking Jupiter's language and Jupiter is talking Mercury's language. They support each other. I actually think this aspect is incredibly powerful for manifestation work: Sagittarius the dreamer can create the dream and Mercury the organizer can get you to it!

The moon enters Libra at 5:33 PM. Libra is an air sign and this is a nice change after the hard-working Virgo moon. Time for some intelligent conversation or a good book!

Venus enters Scorpio at 11:15 PM EST. This is a big shift in energy. Venus becomes much more obsessive, possessive and jealous in Scorpio than she was in Libra, especially when it comes to love and money. Be aware of this tendency to obsess over relationships and money right now because we will all tend to do it under this influence. On the bright side we can be more shrewd with our money and we can also allow our relationships to go to a deeper level, if you are willing to let the other in.

An essential oil to use today is lemon which promotes clarity of thought.

A stone to work with today is rose quartz which helps to soften our hearts and open up to a deeper, more spiritual love.
