Another two part day with the moon today, with a long void-of-course moon in the middle of the day. Despite the void-of-course moon we have an active day in the Heavens with lots of planets in motion and connecting with one another. So expect the day to be active!

We start off with the moon still in fun and energetic Leo coming to a tense square with Mars in Scorpio this morning at 6:30 AM. This can have us waking up with some energy and feeling intense emotionally. We might even feel a bit impulsive this morning. It would be good for you to do something active with yourself this morning if you can, go for a walk, or run or do some have some sexy time with your honey before getting out of bed. That will get your blood pumping in a healthy way.

The next aspect is when Mercury in Cancer comes to an opposition with Pluto in Capricorn at 7:55 AM. This might make us feel a big quarrelsome towards others, it also has an impulsive feel to it. Mercury is about our mind while Pluto is like the higher octave of Mars. So you might find yourself to be outspoken and if you have hidden something inside of you that you might want to tell another person – that might come out too! Just try to remember to be loving in your manner of telling others what is on your mind. Pluto can bring stuff up from the deep for us, which is good. It allows us to get rid of a feeling of holding things in and letting them eat away at us.

Next the Leo moon comes to a trine with Uranus in Aries at 8:07 AM. This has us feeling unique and original. This is a fun energy that can come with flashes of inspiration so if you feel inspired at this time – make it happen! After this aspect the moon is in her void-of-course phase until this evening when she makes her ingress into the sign of Virgo. This is a time to keep doing things that you have been doing, not to start new projects and even rest if that is at all possible. I know its the middle of the work day for many of us so it might not be possible to just chill, at least take a 5 minute meditation moment for yourself if you can!

Venus in Cancer then comes to a square with Uranus in Aries at 10:25 AM. This is a nice and spicy energy for us that will last pretty much all day today. Venus is our love and attraction to love while Uranus is about living in the moment. When these two square up, there can be some excitement in the love department! Why not ask that cutie you have been flirting with, out for some coffee? Or if you are attached to someone - Why not send them a sweet and surprising message or phone call? If you can have some alone time together, that would be even better. Get creative if you are not able to be with your sweetie, let your loved one know you are thinking of them!

The sun in Cancer then comes to an opposition with Pluto in Capricorn at 6:27 PM. Thankfully this is a sun aspect therefore it will last today and not much more than a day. This is because this energy can have us feeling a bit. at odds with others. The sun being the essence of who we are and Pluto being the detective of the planets, you might want to pull some stuff out that was held deep inside. You might also notice yourself being a bit aggressive and annoyed if the other person is not responding and letting you “in”. If so, do something active with yourself where you can actually focus your energy. Some sort of martial arts comes to mind because you can really focus yourself at this time. If you are not the martial arts sort of person, then what about putting your attention on a project you are working on? You will likely have the stamina to make it happen for yourself if you do.

The last thing is when the moon in Leo finally gets out of her void-of-course phase and makes her ingress into the sign of Virgo at 6:41 PM. Virgo moon is not the easiest of moons to deal with, it can be a bit discriminating and is most definitely detail orientated. I usually feel like cleaning things under a Virgo moon and it is a great way to utilize this energy. Virgo moon helps us to think about our health too, so if you have been trying to get on the bandwagon of eating healthier or working out more... Let today's planetary energies and the Virgo moon that lasts until Sunday be a motivating force for you to bring out that inner health-nut.

The gemstone suggestion for today is Sodalite. Sodalite will help us to express ourselves in a positive manner and it also helps calm and soothe our nerves a bit. 

The essential oil suggestion for today is Cumin. Cumin is protective and helpful with bringing about tranquility. It is also said to be a love herb associated with those that are drawing love to them. There is a musky scent associated with cumin so just a little is needed, and you might try blending it with rosemary or lavender for a sweeter scent.
