We are changing things up here at the Astro Tapestry Report! We are going to start looking at a weekly overview and see how that works! Lunar aspects (aspects involving the moon) are the most common but they are also the weakest … they are no more than passing moods. So we are going to focus on the larger themes of the week and please let us know what you think about this new format!


Wednesday we have the Venus meeting Jupiter in a sextile aspect. Sweet luck! This is fun, light-hearted, social and lively. Since Jupiter is in Libra (the sign of Venus) and Venus is in Sagittarius (the sign of Jupiter) these two planets are in what is called mutual reception which amplifies the power of this otherwise soft aspect. We want to play, we want to party, and we may overdo it if we aren't careful! But hey, you only live once, so enjoy!


On Thursday the sun and Mercury conjoin in Scorpio. This is the midpoint of the Mercury-sun cycle. From our perspective Mercury dances around the sun, first running in front of him, then reversing gears and following the sun from behind. He does this dance non-stop, back and forth, around the sun, like the court jester he is to the sun's kingship. But when these planets conjoin there is a sense of clarity that is like a flash of light that stays with you, an epiphany, so look for those paradigm shifting insights today. Pay attention to them as they can be deep!


Going into the weekend we don't get another strong aspect until Saturday when Mars makes a square to Uranus. Exciting! Spontaneous! Wake up, everyone, and let's go crazy! I mean that in the best way possible. Mars-Uranus is wild, unpredictable energy that if we do not embrace it can show up in our lives as arguments and accidents. So try to do something physically powerful today. Sprint up a mountain! Take a martial arts class! Start that new project you have been putting off forever!


A very different energy comes into play later on Saturday when Venus and Saturn conjoin. This is about commitment, both in relationships and in finances. If in the past you have taken risks with love or money, today you will feel like creating a stronger foundation where security and trust is more important than taking those risks. Our relationships deepen as we commit to them. Our portfolio solidifies as we invest in secure financial practices. Commit to that which you trust.
