It is a relatively quiet day today we have only lunar aspects which are minor. The moon is in Virgo which means we are best suited to paying attention to the details and taking care of them in our own lives.


We begin with the moon making a sextile to Venus at 4:46 AM which is a feel good sort of aspect. It may make us feel a little lazy, the moon-Venus combination, but it also can give us a warm, fuzzy feeling on the inside. Like maybe we don't want to get out of bed because we are so cozy right where we are!


The moon opposes Neptune at 12:47 PM and under this aspect we often feel disillusioned. Like we had put someone up on a pedestal and suddenly we realize they too are only human. There is nothing wrong with being human except when we believed someone was better than that! This is a great influence under which to do meditative or spiritual work. I like doing a walking meditation to get me out of a funk when I feel that coming on.


At 3:42 PM the moon makes a square to Saturn and sometimes I think of this aspect of needing to do the dirty work. By dirty work I mean those things that we never want to take care of but are a necessary part of life if we are to be responsible humans. Maybe for you that is mopping the floor, or listening to endless voice mail messages at work, or volunteering to go door to door for your candidate or cause of choice. Even if you don't want to deal with it you feel feel better for having gotten it done.


The moon makes a nice trine to Pluto at 10:42 PM allowing us to feel a deep sense of comfort. All of us have inside of ourselves a deep well from which to draw and this aspect reminds us of that and we a grateful to have internal resources. When we feel centered and grounded, and have a sense of our own inner strength it becomes easier to handle whatever life may throw at us.


A good stone to use today is polychrome jasper which helps us face conflict with courage.


The recommended essential oil for today is peppermint which is refreshing and helps us focus on the task at hand.
