Full Moon in Aries - Sept. 24, 2018

What’s going on today:

Moon enters Aries at 6:04 PM CDT
Full Moon at 2 degrees Aries at 9:52 PM CDT

What it means:
We had the first day of fall just a couple of days ago and now we have a full moon in the sign of Aries which is the first sign of spring.  We have a new season and a new beginning. Things that you have been working on all summer are culminating. How is your life shaping up under all these changes?  Are you embracing your fresh start? This fresh start may have been some time in the making but it’s still a new day.

For this full moon we will look at the Sabian Symbols for two different degrees.  The full moon falls exactly at 2 degrees and 0 minutes of Aries and the Sabian Symbol for  2 degrees is “A Comedian Reveals Human Nature”. I think this is an especially fitting Sabian Symbol for Aries because Aries can be brash, rude, and even offensive with their comments, much like comedians do.  Comedy is often offensive because it brings up subjects we might not want to address or admit are true. But the key here is that a good comedian is making a commentary on the truth of this world, which does in fact reveal human nature.  Now ask yourself: can you laugh about the truth that is being revealed in your own life? Can you maintain a sense of humor about the things you are dealing with, the people you meet, and the overall tone in your day to day experiences? If not I urge you to consider finding a more humorous viewpoint in order to maintain your sanity.  When we lose our sense of humor we really are in trouble.

The second symbol is the one that immediately follows the previous one we discussed.  It is “The Cameo Profile of a Man, Suggesting the Shape of His Country”. We shape the world around us and it in turn shapes us as well.  When we look at something from the side (a cameo view), we might not see the whole picture but often we can see enough to get a good idea of what is going on.  When people look at you what do you represent? Are you a symbol for your environment? Are you in harmony with your surrounding to the extent that you reflect back the values of the land around you?  How can you create more harmony with the way you live your life compared to the land in which you desire to live?

All in all this full moon is powerful and creates a t-square with slow moving Saturn.  We may desire the freedom of Aries but we are building on the goals and plans that we have been laying out over the past 6 months.  Can we create a balance between the two? Ultimately when we embrace our responsibilities and master them we gain a new sense of freedom and capability.

How is your life shaping up under all these changes?  Are you embracing your fresh start? Can you laugh about the truth that is being revealed in your own life?  Can you maintain a sense of humor about the things you are dealing with, the people you meet, and the overall tone in your day to day experiences?  When people look at you what do you represent? Are you a symbol for your environment? Are you in harmony with your surrounding to the extent that you reflect back the values of the land around you?  How can you create more harmony with the way you live your life compared to the land in which you desire to live? Can we create a balance between responsibility and freedom?
