Weekly Forecast ~ Week of November 19th
Gratitude is real. It works. Gratitude is a thing of substance. As we move into Thanksgiving week here in the states see if you can see how tangible and palpable gratitude can be in your own life. The aspects this week tell the story: first we are thankful then we go out and get that which we are grateful for. Or, as astrologers say: As Above So Below. Monday November 19th ~ What’s going on today: Moon in Aries Mars Square Jupiter What it means: Mars represents our energy and Jupiter expands that which he touches. So expect there to be something of an imbalance of energy today. Like maybe you have a ton of energy to work on one area of your life but you are stuck dealing with something else, as one example. Something else this reminds me of is an enlarged chakra. So when we work with chakras we sometimes see that the chakras are out of alignment. Sometimes this means they are constricted so the energy doesn’t flow through as well as it should. And other times it means that the chakra is enlarged and kind of like an energy hog … sucking up all the available energy and making one area of your life out of proportion with the rest. Today is a day when you can be cognizant on how you are using your energy … are you putting too much into one thing? Are you being forced to deal with something other that want you really want to be doing? If so can you show gratitude for the situation and invite the experience you are looking for in? Questions to ask: How can I get it done today without going overboard? How can I work on my own balance even if the forces around me are not in balance? Tuesday November 20th ~ What’s going on today: Moon in Aries void-of-course at 4:46 PM CST Moon enters Taurus at 5:43 PM CST Most of the day we have the moon in Aries which is great for “going for it”. So whatever is on your plate today “just do it”! Once the moon moves into Taurus it becomes more calm and stable … we are less likely to go dashing out the door on a whim (like we do when the moon is in Aries). Enjoy the earthy Taurus vibe of the evening by spending some time in a garden or out in nature, if you can. That connection to Mother Earth is something we can all be grateful for, especially under the Taurus moon. Wednesday November 21st ~ What’s going on today: Moon in Taurus Once Taurus gets the momentum going there is no stopping this train! Remember that if you are having trouble starting today and remind yourself that once you do get going you will be able to make significant progress. Thursday November 22nd ~ Thanksgiving Day What’s going on today: Moon in Taurus void-of-course at 3:58 AM CST Moon enters Gemini at 10:10 PM CST Full Moon in Gemini at 11:39 PM CST Sun enters Sagittarius What it means: Happy Birthday Sagittarius! Early this morning the sun moves into a new sign and hello! It’s party time! Sagittarius often gets the reputation as the life of the party and it’s pretty well deserved. Sagittarius is optimistic, engaging, and pretty darn lucky. They are philosophical and as likely to debate with you comparative religions as they are to debate the ethical standards of dungeons and dragons. Yes they can be fun and wacky and are always up for an adventure. Sagittarius is a believer. They usually believe in you, they believe in themselves, and they believe there is something out there to believe in, too. It might be UFO’s or faeries or Catholicism but they believe what they believe. Sagittarius has faith. The full moon in Gemini happens at almost midnight here in Texas, and if you are on the east coast it happens early Friday morning shortly after midnight which is why I am talking about it as the last thing today. With the full moon in Gemini we have the sun in Sagittarius opposing the moon in Gemini and this is some lively energy! Adventure, curiosity, risk-taking … all of this is in the full moon. If there is an area of your own life that you would like to be more adventurous in then this is a great time to set that intention! The Sabian Symbol for the degree of the full moon is “A Glass-Bottomed Boat Reveals Undersea Wonders”. I love this image, especially since we are leaving Scorpio season behind. Scorpio reveals things that are hidden that can be somewhat painful … our shadow side. This Sabian Symbol reminds us that some things which are hidden are amazing and beautiful, like hidden treasures we had forgotten all about. Don’t overlook the fact that you too, and everything around you, has layers of magic beneath the surface! Questions to ask: How can I be more optimistic? How can I have faith? What do I believe in? What hidden gems am I discovering under the surface? Where can I find the hidden magic in my life? Friday November 23rd ~ Moon in Gemini We are still buzzing from the full moon overnight and we are awash in Gemini-Sagittarius energy. This type of energy has a hard time being contained so get out and explore! By investing in our curiosity and invoking our sense of adventure we engage in two of the best qualities these signs share. Saturday November 24th ~ What’s going on today: Moon in Gemini void-of-course at 11:31 PM CST Neptune Station Direct What it means: Neptune has been retrograde since mid June. Like all outer planets he spends almost half the year in retrograde motion. So whether he is retrograde or direct doesn’t seem to matter as much as the time he is stationary. Stationary means he is changing direct and so really, really slow to the point he comes to a standstill. You can look at your natal chart to see what is being activate by the station of Neptune in Pisces. It happens at 13 degrees 42 minutes … do you know what that touches in your chart? I was almost surprised to see that Neptune is stationing in an almost exact square to my natal Saturn. And I bring that up because Neptune is tricky like that. He slips under that radar until we finally catch a glimpse of him as it’s like seeing the loch ness monster. We almost didn’t believe it was there! But the effect that Neptune has is there whether you can see it or not. Neptune is nebulous but profound. It dissolves connections and aids in teaching us compassion. Lately I have been delving into a lot of new thought philosophy, law of attraction, and meditation books, all of which fit perfectly with the concept of Neptune. We can be compassionate and we can raise our vibration but we must first dissolve our attachments, our clinging to the past and to the person we used to be. Questions to ask: Are you ready to let go of the person you used to be? Are you ready to let your self-image, your ego, dissolve? Are you prepared to take responsibility for your own direction in life guided by your own intuition? Sunday November 25th ~ What’s going on today: Moon enters Cancer at 12:38 AM CST Sun Conjunct Jupiter What it means: When I think of the sun and Jupiter together in Sagittarius I think of warmth, joy, optimism and confidence. What a beautiful day! What a beautiful transit! Anything that makes you feel more alive, more joyful, more generous is recommended today. Feel your inner glow and shine your light on others you meet. This is wonderful energy for spiritual inspiration as well … you can touch the face of god on a day like today. Enjoy! Questions to ask: What truly brings me joy? What am I grateful for? How can I share my good fortune with those around me? Where in my life do I feel inspired?
