Happy New Year 2016

As we welcome 2016 we have a few shifts in the energy right away!

Mars enters Scorpio on January 3, 2016. This is a welcome change as Mars is the traditional ruler of Scorpio. This helps us feel motivated to do what we really want to do. (Have you ever tried to get a Scorpio to do something they don't want to do?) Anyway, this helps make the general energy more comfortable.

​The next big thing happening will probably be something most dread but I think it is very appropriate. Mercury stations retrograde on January 5, 2016. It seems like starting a new year and then going backwards are opposed to each other but this gives us the chance to clean up all the bad habits we have acquired over the holidays! Mercury starts off in Aquarius but will return to Capricorn for most of the retrograde period. Capricorn is the sign of the executive and Mercury retrograde in Capricorn wants us to figure out how to be the executives in our own lives on a day to day basis. So I think this is actually a great time for this retrograde cycle to occur!
