That means there are 7 planets in “masculine” signs (fire and air). Active might be a better word than masculine, or maybe pro-active. Regardless what you call it this energy means it is time to go after what you want! For those of us with lots of air and fire in our natal charts (ME ME ME) this is feeling like we are getting back to ourselves. We feel more free, more able to express ourselves, more able to go after that which we want to pursue in our lives. Good luck and go for it! The big news today is Mercury entering the sign of Aquarius. Mercury has an affinity for Aquarius. Aquarius has an eccentric approach to life and Mercury in that sign has a unique way of thinking about life. Aquarius is an air sign meaning it is intellectual and rational, while Mercury governs our thoughts and our communication so the two seem to get along quite well together.

I would not be surprised with Mercury in Aquarius if the “rhetoric” becomes even stronger. Aquarius is a “fixed” sign and as such can be pretty darn stubborn about their perspective on things. Since Mercury is about the way we think and communicate it follows to reasons that we can all suffer the “I am right and you are wrong” malady under this influence. Aquarius can also be something of a know-it-all so be conscious of this and try to choose your debatable arguments instead of getting caught in every one that comes along!


The other change today is the moon moving in her home sign of Cancer. Since the moon relates to our moods and emotions it helps us feel more secure and aids us in fortifying our emotional stronghold. Cancer has the reputation for being sensitive but they also have the ability to keep out negative influences by using their shell properly. The Crab wisely lets in only that which with it feels safe, and that is the emotional practice for today: only let that in which enhances your feelings of safety and security.
