New Moon in Gemini June 3, 2019

Early Monday morning we have the new moon in Gemini.  The sign of Gemini is an air sign, and also a mutable sign, meaning it is “changeable air”.  This means that Gemini is often making changes midstride. Sometimes, just when you think you have finally caught up with Gemini they are already going off in a new direction.  Sometimes Gemini gets stereotyped as being “two-faced” due to their changeable nature but I prefer to think of them as “multi-faceted” which has a much nicer ring to it!

With every new moon we have the opportunity to set new intentions.  Since Gemini is a mental air sign it’s appropriate they the intentions this month have something to do with the way you think and/or communicate.  Maybe you have been meaning to practice affirmations more, or to do more journalling, or to better communicate with your coworkers. Any intentions around improving our own mental clarity or our communication with others will work wonderfully this month.

We can also look at where the new moon is falling in your personal natal chart and form intentions around the house or planets being activated by the new moon.  Look at see where 12-13 degrees of Gemini lives in your chart and create your intentions around this. For my own chart this new moon happens conjunct my Saturn and Midheaven and is also trine my Venus.  So any intentions I set involving work, career, commitments (Saturn/Midheaven) or love, money, beauty or art (Venus) would be appropriate for me at this time. The Sabian Symbol for the new moon is “A Famous Pianist Giving a Concert Performance”.  This symbol speaks of mastery of a natural gift and sharing with the world in a very public way.  Think about your own gifts and whether or not you are cultivating and training them. Are you sharing your gifts with the world?  This is another area in which intention setting can greatly serve you.
