Pluto Station Direct - bonus content above and beyond my weekly forecast
What it means: As with other outer planets the stations are the most impactful time or the retrograde cycle. Today Pluto stations direct which means he stands still for a time before he once again begins his apparent forward motion. The station occurs in Capricorn at 18 degrees 45 minutes Capricorn so if you have planets or angles there you are definitely feeling the intensity. In fact we can all feel the pressure during a Pluto station even if it’s not hitting you directly. It can feel like pressure looming over you, a sense of darkness, an obsession revealed. Pluto already moves very slowly … he has been in Capricorn since 2008 and won’t be completely done with his work there until 2024 so all of you with Capricorn in your chart you are feeling the slow burn. Pluto helps us to transform our lives and that means a lot of purging and releasing old patterns while also developing new ways of living. Pluto went retrograde on April 22nd and now, over five months later, he is turning direct. Outer planets have long retrograde cycles and we can interpret this in several different ways. First, think about what was going on in your life around April 22nd. Have you resolved it now? Did you have to personally backtrack in some area of your own life before you, too, could start moving forward again? Second, around the time of a planetary station the energy of a planet is magnified. There is a saying in astrology: “the slowest planet wins”. And nothing is slower than a planet at station (since it’s not moving at all and instead appears to stand still in the sky). So we are in for a Pluto themed week. Even though the station is today we will feel this of weeks before and after due to Pluto moving so slowly. And a few keywords for Pluto are power, transformation, regeneration, release, secrets, manipulation, obsession. Some of these are associated positively and some are negative. Take a look at your own life and see if you are experiencing this for yourself. Third, take a look at your own chart and see what is being activated (transformed) by Pluto. This can be a planet or angle being aspected, or a house being influenced. Using myself as an example the Pluto station is trine my ascendant. Since my ascendant is how I show myself to the world I have the opportunity to transform the image I show to others. Pluto is also stationing conjunct my north node in my 4th house of home. I did just move cross country and have the opportunity to transform (Pluto) my image (Ascendant) based on my new location (4th house) in order to further my personal soul development (north node). Astrology works. If you are curious how your own chart is being activated and want to consult an astrologer reach out to me and I can help. Questions to ask yourself: What have I been transforming in my own life? What do I let go of in order to create a more meaningful life? Photo by Sven Scheuermeier on Unsplash
